DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
With Jay driving his lime-colored box-type lancer, Dalobee noted that Jay were already swerving here and there having drunk too much. It was already 2 in the morning, they were both enforcing sanity on their being while drunkenness and sleepiness riot on their whole. Dalobee had already fallen to the yearnings of the moment, which is to doze even just for a while as Jay accelerated his car in full gears. Even before they rolled the wheels, he already instructed Jay to drive carefully.
He suddenly felt a strong compelling force in his left face... an impact that so resolutely had shaken almost his soul. He was baffled to feel a trickle of blood oozing from his forehead.. was so blinded with the sudden impact that he missed out the blood coming from his chin. In an instant he felt his lower body becoming numb, after awakening to the stark raving truth that they had terribly crashed into another vehicle.
Dalobee woke up from his stupor, and his tounge felt as if it were twisted seeing Jay lying cold beneath the squashed steering wheel forced into his body. The impact was so terrible it had side swiped to the incoming Nissan Patrol on the other lane, crushing half of the vehicle on the driver's side, having Jay trampled beneath the vehicle's wrecked half body. He felt at that instant moment that Jay was already dead, he shook him badly, called his name over and over again as if to hurriedly call his wandering spirit to return to its entity and bring back Jay to life. He was compelled by a force more elemental than anything else, which is the instinct to save Jay to the best that he could, to awaken him at that instant moment. When his efforts finally elicited a whimper from Jay, it was then that he realized that this isn't just a part of any dramatic conceit they were all prone to or had made it to a point to cultivate. To resign himself to having his companion gone and suddenly gets a hint that he is magically and miraculously still alive, i can only imagine what bliss it brings.
They were rescued by the people in the nearby streets and hospital. Dalobee was fine with some bruises and blood. while it took the rescuers three long hours before they could pull out Jay's body inside the distorted vehicle. They had to cut by acetylene the obtruding vehicle parts and stripped Jay's clothing to be able to be pulled easily and allow the breath of life to be inhaled into his being.
And that was the story according to Dalobee. Jay's still confined at the hospital right now, recovering from the blast of tremors of physical and emotional pain they had undergone.
Believing that accidents are inevitabilities waiting to happen don't expulcate them of what happened. They were both intoxicated and the alcohol maybe had consumed their sanity. I admitted to having post-trauma on driving because the stark images of that accident wouldn't depart my mind. All my co-workers are dearest to me. Being my everyday companion in these labor-mandated hours for almost a quarter of my life, you could imagine what depths of despair i had felt upon hearing what had happened to them.
I drive. But i don't drink. (And i also have no gasoline allowance yet...2 months na.. F*@&!@#$!!#$%^&&*%$ Kume) I know my other feet is on the grave once i start to roll the wheels. I hold in me my very life and those riding with me, along with the others on the streets where i'll pass by. And so it is very imperative that one needs to be in his full sane mind when driving. Don't drink and drive.

GOT MILK?
Serving Up the Milk Message
The National Milk Mustache "got milk?" Campaign is one of the most recognized and respected advertising campaigns, having earned a place in advertising history. As the "umbrella" campaign for print, radio and TV advertising, as well as public relations, promotions and other initiatives, the "got milk?" message is one that's on everyone's lips across the U.S. Since its inception over 10 years ago, this fun and compelling message has helped boost awareness of the nutritional aspects of milk, and was the impetus to expand the availability of milk to more consumers than ever before.
And LOIS is joining the campaign.
Bwahahaha.Why drink milk?
Milk + Nutrition
(http://www.milkdelivers.org/nutrition-information/)- According to the Dietary Guidelines for Americans 2005, issued by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, adults and children over age 8 should consume 3 cups per day of fat-free or lowfat milk or equivalent milk products. Children ages 2-8 should consume 2 cups per day of fat-free or lowfat milk or equivalent milk products.
- Each 8-ounce serving of milk — white or flavored — provides 300 mg of calcium, about one-third to one-fourth of the daily calcium requirement for children.
- Providing a powerful nutrition package of nine essential nutrients including calcium, protein and potassium, milk is the perfect beverage for today's kids and teens.
- Studies demonstrate that when children drink milk at lunch, they have a higher intake of several critical nutrients, including calcium, zinc and vitamin A. In one study, only those children drinking milk at lunch were able to meet their daily calcium requirement.
- A recent study shows children who avoided milk were found to be more likely to experience fractures and be overweight.
Key Vitamins and Minerals in Milk
(http://www.whymilk.com/pdf/milk_nutrition_facts.pdf)
No other beverage packs a more complete nutrient punch than a glass of milk. Here
is a look at how milk’s nutrients work for you.
Calcium
Helps build strong bones and
maintain bone density.
Protein

WHEN I AM DEAD MY DEAREST - Christina Rossetti
When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.
The notion of love and death has always been a great mystery to me.
I wished to be loved just the same even when i am dead.
And for my loved ones to cry not when I'm gone.
COFFEEBEAN
Coffeebean
Oh the joys of a caffeine addict!
I love my coffeebean.
A simple acquaintance.
Serendipity.
Little by little..
i was drawn into the coffeebean.
I found myself in the whirl of decadent flavours...
care.
understanding.
acceptance.
love.
How can i resist a day without cofeebean?
God shots oozing with
incomparable sensations.
Love the smell.
Love the sensation when it warms my throat...
straight to my heart.
Soothes my being.
I love how he conquered me.
My Coffeebean.
LATECOMER
I missed the shuttle service. Dunno if it's me or the driver (or say 'Mang David' the owner) but i knew i arrived there at the pick up point @6:05am, early enough before they usually pass through.
I saw no 'April' standing in full bloom at the shed where we used to loiter. I suddenly had this gut feeling that i had already missed the service, but half-believing that i am way too early for the pick up time, which was usually around 6:10-6:15am.
Time check. 6:20am.
Whoah. Called Dalobee and April but they weren't answering. Must have been in their most comfortable nap inside the shuttle. Gggrrrr. My last call attempt had Dalobee answering his cellphone, said they were already in the SLEX.
Doomsday.
Furious.
Went back straight home. Thank God traffic isn't that heavy yet. Got the car and storm the road with a furious heart. "Babarilin ko na yung shuttle service na un," I muttered to myself as i rev up the engine to its max.
7:06am. Time in.
Ggggrrrrrrr. Late i am. Mang David approached me as i enter the production area. Told him i was really upset for having missed the service, that i had to drive on my own and shell out some bucks for my gasoline, and that it was indeed their irregularities on their part that had some of the regular employees missed the service. I was blurting out to him all my complaints for their mismanaged shuttle proceedings, and etc..etc.. There was this level of anger that makes me desperate to shoot them all. :getiton:
Wahahaha.

MANIC-DEPRESSIVE
I just want to walk outta here and promise to never come back anymore.
The proof of perfidy is stumbling right before my very eyes. Why does quitting this job always seem to be a perfect option in ending up my despair?

FURIOUS
my gasoline allowance hasn't been approved for over a month now. i dunno what's inside Mr. Kume's head, but apparently, he's been acting so inhumane ever since his existence in our company, you would mistaken him for a monster that has just popped out from the underground. Yes, a greedy monster masquerading as a soft-spoken Nihon but out there to slash if not completely wipe out all the benefits that the employees had been receiving.
i despise him a lot. (as much as i despise smartbro of course) really.
i dunno what will happen in the next few days. i just feel so disappointed in the present system..i want to leave my work right at the moment. but things are not that easy...
sigh.

HABILIN..
by Jovi CariƱo
Sabi ng tatay ko, maselan,
mahirap na gawain ang mag-alaga ng mangga
Unang-una, dapat mong tiyakin
na mamumulaklak ito sa tamang panahon
Pagkatapos, ang mga bulaklak ay dapat bantayan;

"Pare, isa kang totoong tao at walang halong kasinungalingan.

HARMONY
and seek you restlessly.
Thirsting anew,
I streak through the moonlight
until i falter.
The nakedness of confusion seeps in
and nursed my being.
I lie on the grass
and look up at the stars.
The jewels on my palm
are weighed down
by my heart
throbbing here within.
I set miracles
to curl beneath my eyes,
to wrap in silence
and dissolve the curses
that made me cry.
The stench of truths
that ripped my sunrise
made me again anew
strong enough to
face struggles,
to arrive at a perfect view.
The legacy of dreams
harmonizes the
searing heart
that spills
over the recoil of memories
through his sleep.

QUIETUS
I used to be stuck in front of the boob tube watching Korean films of great or tragic love stories. There's this film that really pinched my heart.. my tears slowly flowing from a trickle at the start of the story until it flowed out to a gushing well in its finale. The film is A Moment to Remember (2004), a Korean love story about the burden and loss caused by the girl's Alzheimer's disease.
I have also read stories about great love and survival. I found myself welling up with tears while i was plunging myself into Noah and Allie's world in The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks.
I have also read Erich Segal's Love Story as endorsed by a good friend Rodney.
All these stories are plotted out on a common theme, real love and survival in a relationship, a struggle with a partner who has a malady, and staying beside her till her last breath.
I haven't read Nicholas Sparks' A Walk to Remember nor watched its film. A friend advised me not to read or watch it if it would damn kill my happy cells.
These fictional stories hit me straight right where it should:
bafflement of pent-up emotions.
Just recently, i met someone who has undergone the tremors and pain of losing his beloved in a fight against an illness. I could not measure the depths of grief that i have felt upon knowing his story, it was as if i was sucked in a vortex of delusion. I take my hat off to him for staying beside her all through those difficult years, just as those brave men from the stories that i have read and watched.
Most of the times, those fiction and non-fictional stories make me wish that someone would as well stay beside me until my last breath. One who would take time to listen even to the echoes of my heart when i could no longer speak. One who would describe the beauty of surroundings when i could no longer see. One who would hold me, touch me, feel me when my senses are already numb. One who would sing to me the melodies of yesterdays when my memory couldn't serve me well.
I very well know my prognosis and what it would mean in the last and tender hours. Few people who have walked in my life promised to stay but didn't. I fear the pain that they will have to go through and so i understand their needs to walk out of my life. There are no words to express my sorrows for this, and I am sure I am at a loss for words. Perhaps, just perhaps, love will find a way to come back to me despite this affliction. Maybe, just maybe, in the presence of one of those brave men who's willing to hear the soft sounds of my slumber, as i finally lay myself into quietus.

SOLITUDE
in thine hour of secrecy
as silence moulds thy night
with remnants of thy misty strife.
i had been a solitary person
having a life of my own
dreams hath been a part of me
for i haven't seen a reality
this life accounts a world of chaos
one in which you cannot grasp
yesterday's thoughts had not vanished
and brought me these mystery of mysteries!
what more could thou have seen
when this life is nothing but a dream
thy soul shall find itself alone
in the loneliest hour thou hath known
SECLUSION
SECLUSION
In daylight and beauty of this day
my seared and blighted heart has known
your words had preyed the poet's heart
and took all colors out of dominion...
Eagerly i wished no morrow
vainly i sought a surcease of sorrow
for the heart whose woes are legion
you caress must fill its region...
what a solitude it compels
with no euphony of reminiscence
let it never foolishly said
that all my love for you was wasted...
leave no black plume as a token
of that lie you have vastly spoken
leave not my heart unbroken
emancipate me from the requiem...
sadly i am shorn of my strength
void of emotions yet undaunted
as i end up this day weak and weary
the poet's heart is in trances of solemnity...
